Al Drandorff has been a professional home inspector in North Carolina since 1993. (North Carolina-Licensed Home Inspector # 207)

My goal is to provide you with an excellent home inspection and report.

I understand how important purchasing or selling a home is to you.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT HOME INSPECTOR

No matter how much price you are paying, the purchase of a home will most likely be one of your largest investments. A home inspection is a very important part of the process and picking the right home inspector should not be taken lightly.

My name is Al Drandorff. I have been the owner/operator of Advanced Home Inspection in New Bern, NC and a professional home inspector in North Carolina since 1993. I have seen and inspected just about everything from all ages and types of homes. My knowledge and experience are used to inspect the home you are purchasing.

Over the years, I have routinely discovered significant issues and damages. Some home buyers have decided against the purchase due to this, while others have used my findings to negotiate repairs or adjust the selling price.

A home inspection takes a minimum of 2 hours to sometimes well over 3 hours to complete. If you decide to attend, which is highly recommended, the issues and damage can be viewed and explained to you firsthand. If you cannot make it to the inspection, I can call you afterwards with a recap of my findings.

Your inspection report is a custom-written, narrative-type report. It includes numerous digital pictures showing the issues and damages present. The report is not a typical generic type, but instead is more tailored to the home being inspected. Problem items are explained with the possible ramifications if they are not repaired or corrected.

The report is not given out in a rush immediately after the inspection. Time is taken to consider the issues found and their implications before a report is generated.  Turnaround time is typically within 2 business days after the inspection is performed.

CLIENT REVIEWS

Donna A. : “I wanted to take a minute to formally express my absolute delight with your services. As someone experienced in buying new homes (my twentieth move and seventh new house). I have always had a home inspection with both new and used homes. The term “Nit-Picking” can be used with very positive effect here in reference to you. You are what every home buyer dreams of when they want a home inspection. You are thorough, professional, patient, and a real pleasure to work with. Thank you for all the extra effort on my behalf. I really appreciate your time and experience.”

Gary N. : “I have used Al for my inspections twice now and he does a very thorough job. After the first inspection, my wife (who used to be in commercial construction), said it is like a Master Class. Al welcomes the buyer to be with him throughout the entire inspection and will answer any and all questions. I highly recommend him.”
